The Information Governance Group for Yorkshire and Humber is a group of practitioners who have responsibility for managing Data Protection, Freedom of Information, EIR and RIPA primarily in the public sector. This includes local Councils, the NHS, Police, Probation Service and their service providers throughout Yorkshire and The Humber.
We are a group of committed information professionals who want to contribute to the group and learn from each other. Everyone is given a warm welcome, whether you are a novice or have many years of experience in these areas.
Our aim is to provide mutual support, encouragement, education, and an open forum where we can raise queries, and share concerns on issues that affect our work. We hope to offer quarterly meetings which will move around the region and invite guest speakers to address the group.
Membership is free and anyone wishing to join the group should contact the group secretary, Jessica Robson secretary@YHIGG.co.uk .
